Jabalpur witnessed a major international academic and technology gathering with the successful conclusion of the two-day International IEEE Conference on “Applied Intelligence and Computing”. The conference brought together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, technology experts and young innovators from India and several countries to deliberate on the rapidly expanding applications of Artificial Intelligence and emerging computing technologies
Organised jointly by Shri Ram Institute of Technology, Jabalpur, and IEEE Madhya Pradesh Section, the conference provided a platform for presenting research, exchanging technological ideas and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. The scale of participation was reflected in the receipt of 4,525 research papers from 14 countries, of which 211 papers were selected for presentation.
The inaugural programme was attended by the Hon’ble MLA, North-Central Assembly Constituency, Jabalpur, as Chief Guest. Dr. Rajiv Chandak, Principal, Jabalpur Engineering College, presided over the ceremony, while Dr. Neeraj Rao, Professor, VNIT Nagpur, was the Guest of Honour. Prof. Preeti Khanna, Dean, IIITDM Jabalpur, delivered the plenary address, and Prof. G. S. Tomer, IEEE MP Section Chair, highlighted the significance of research, innovation and professional engagement in emerging technologies.

Across the technical deliberations, speakers examined the expanding footprint of Artificial Intelligence in sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, manufacturing, banking, transportation, communication, cybersecurity and public services. Discussions also covered machine learning, intelligent systems, data-driven technologies, cloud computing, Internet of Things and other emerging areas of computational intelligence.
Alongside technological advancement, the conference placed considerable emphasis on responsible and ethical innovation. Experts highlighted the growing importance of data privacy, cybersecurity, transparency, accountability and human welfare as intelligent technologies become increasingly integrated into critical sectors.
The participation of young researchers and technology professionals emerged as another important dimension of the conference.
