CIS 2025 – Advancing Global Research in Computational Intelligence and Systems

13 Sep 2025 | 1 year ago | Dr. Sakshi Shringi

The International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Systems (CIS 2025), organized by the Soft Computing Research Society (SCRS), was successfully held on September 6–7, 2025. The conference served as a global forum for researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to exchange ideas and showcase innovations in the fields of computational intelligence, big data analytics, image processing, and intelligent systems. This year, CIS 2025 received an overwhelming response with 1,128 paper submissions from 15 countries, including Bangladesh, Benin Republic, India, Indonesia, Malta, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Russia, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, the United States of America, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. After a rigorous peer-review process conducted by 552 reviewers, only 132 papers were accepted and registered, resulting in a highly competitive acceptance rate of 12% that reflected the conference’s emphasis on high-quality research contributions.

The academic program of CIS 2025 was diverse and intellectually enriching. It featured six keynote speakers, twelve invited speakers, and three plenary speakers: Prof. Ing. Carl James Debono from the University of Malta, Prof. Varadraj Gurupur from the School of Global Health Management and Informatics, USA, and Prof. Lalit Garg, also from the University of Malta. Their lectures, along with other keynote and invited talks, offered participants deep insights into current research frontiers and emerging trends in computational intelligence and systems. In addition, the conference hosted 23 parallel sessions under tracks such as Big Data Analytics, Computational Intelligence, Emerging Techniques, Image Processing and Computer Vision, and Intelligent Systems, providing a platform for in-depth scholarly discussions and collaborations.

A significant highlight of the conference was the announcement that all accepted and registered papers will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (LNNS) series, which is indexed in Scopus. This publication partnership ensures greater visibility, academic recognition, and long-term impact for the research presented at the event.

The success of CIS 2025 was the result of dedicated leadership and meticulous planning. The conference was guided by its General Chairs: Prof. Sandeep Kumar (CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, India), Prof. Tarun Kumar Rawat (Netaji Subhas University of Technology, Delhi, India), and Prof. Mohammad Shorif Uddin (Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh). The organizational responsibilities were effectively managed by the Organizing Chairs: Prof. Mukesh Saraswat (Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India) and Prof. Kusum Kumari Bharti (Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur, India). Their combined efforts, along with the support of program committees and reviewers, ensured the smooth execution of the event and its international success.

In conclusion, CIS 2025 emerged as a landmark academic gathering that upheld rigorous standards, encouraged global participation, and advanced the frontiers of research in computational intelligence. It not only highlighted state-of-the-art advancements but also laid the foundation for future collaborations and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
