The SCRS-WUST Global Excellence Awards (SWGE Awards)
2025 were held on 23rd August 2025, celebrating
outstanding individuals who are shaping the future of technology, research, and
innovation. The event brought together leaders from academia and industry,
recognizing their contributions across diverse domains such as artificial
intelligence, computing, data science, and security.
Next-Generation Computing Award
The award recognized pioneering contributions in computing,
with honors going to Girish Gajwani (Barclays), Rakesh
Keshava (Okta Inc.), Arun Kumar Elengovan (Okta), and Seema
Gangiah Aarella (Austin College).
Emerging Tech Leader – AI & Data Science Award
Acknowledging innovation in AI and data, this award went
to Deepak Kole (eBay), Vinay Soni (LinkedIn), Isan
Sahoo (Oracle), and Rahul Kumar Konduru (FedEx Dataworks).
Data Scientist of the Year Award
The spotlight was on Rohit Nimmala (Bank of America), Balaji
Shesharao Ingole (Amla Commerce), and Shenson Joseph (University of
North Dakota) for their groundbreaking work in data science.
Technology Leader of the Year Award
Recognizing leadership in technology, this category
honored Nandagopal Seshagiri (Okta), Prema Kumar
Veerapaneni (Mphasis), Venkat Nutalapati (Walmart), Abdul
Hadi (Climatec), and Sachin Deoram Chaudhari (Accenture).
Excellence in Data Integration and Architecture
Awards were presented to Balakrishna Pothineni
(JPMorgan Chase & Co.) and Kapil Kumar Goyal (AI &
Data Platforms) for excellence in architecture and integration.
Enterprise Security Champion Award
Recognizing resilience in cybersecurity, the award
honored Pavan Nutalapati (Oracle), Abu Zahid Md Jalal Uddin
(WUST), and Rajesh Purushothaman (Zscaler).
Innovation in Academic Research Award
This category highlighted the achievements of Vishnu
Ramineni (Albertsons Companies) and Sonal Sagar Boda (Cisco).
AI & Robotics Excellence Award
Milan Parikh (Cytel) was recognized for his
contributions in AI and robotics.
Academic Leadership Award
Varshitha Manjunath (Lasell University) received
recognition for her role in academic leadership.
Semiconductor Industry Leadership Award
Jeevan Shanbhag (Applied Materials) was honored
for his contributions to the semiconductor sector.
The 2025 SWGE Awards not only honored excellence but also
