The 6th International Conference on Data Science and Applications (ICDSA 2025) was successfully held from July 16 to 18, 2025, at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, India. The conference was organized under the aegis of MNIT Jaipur and was technically sponsored by the Soft Computing Research Society (SCRS). As a globally recognized academic gathering, ICDSA 2025 brought together leading researchers, practitioners, and academicians from across the world to share their cutting-edge contributions in the field of data science and its emerging domains.
ICDSA 2025 witnessed an exceptional response from the international research community, receiving a total of 2047 paper submissions from authors representing 15 countries, including Algeria, Bangladesh, Benin, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, the Philippines, Senegal, Serbia, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Vietnam. After a rigorous peer-review process conducted by an esteemed panel of 1391 reviewers, 280 papers were accepted and registered for presentation, resulting in a competitive acceptance rate of just 14 percent. These selected papers will be published in the SCOPUS-indexed Springer Book Series titled Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems, ensuring high academic visibility and scholarly impact.
The three-day event was intellectually enriched by a series of high-level technical sessions. The conference featured 17 keynote speakers and 31 invited speakers, who shared deep insights and advanced developments across a wide range of domains. There were seven keynote talk sessions, six invited speaker sessions, and a total of 45 parallel sessions conducted across four key thematic tracks: Data Science and Applications, Emerging Technology, Image Processing and Computer Vision, and Models and Algorithms. These sessions provided an engaging platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and innovative knowledge exchange.
One of the major highlights of ICDSA 2025 was the plenary talks delivered by globally renowned experts. Prof. Ram Bilas Pachori from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore delivered an enlightening address on contemporary challenges in biomedical signal processing. Prof. J. C. Bansal of South Asian University, New Delhi, brought valuable perspectives on optimization techniques and computational intelligence. Prof. Swagatam Das from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, contributed with his expertise on evolutionary algorithms and machine learning applications. Additionally, Prof. Nikhil R. Pal, IEEE Fellow and an eminent scientist from the Electronics and Communication Sciences Unit of the Indian Statistical Institute, delivered an impactful plenary talk highlighting the future trajectories of intelligent systems.
The successful execution of ICDSA 2025 was made possible under the visionary leadership of the conference’s General Chairs. Prof. Laxmi Narayan from MNIT Jaipur played a pivotal role in steering the overall direction of the conference. He was joined by Prof. J. C. Bansal from South Asian University, a well-known figure in soft computing research, and Prof. Ajith Abraham, Director of Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs), USA, whose international expertise added a global dimension to the event.
Overall, ICDSA 2025 served as a vibrant confluence of ideas, offering researchers an opportunity to network, collaborate, and advance the field of data science and its real-world applications.
