26 May 2025 | 1 year ago | Dr Sakshi Shringi

The International Conference on AI and Robotics (AIR 2025) was successfully held from May 9 to 11, 2025, marking a significant milestone in advancing research and innovation in artificial intelligence and robotics. The conference attracted an impressive total of 872 paper submissions from researchers and experts spanning 18 countries, including Afghanistan, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Pakistan, România, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, the USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and others. Out of these submissions, only 72 papers were accepted and registered, reflecting a highly competitive acceptance rate of 9%, ensuring that the conference featured only top-quality research and innovative contributions.

The event was overseen by the distinguished General Chairs, Prof. Md Jan Nordin and Prof. Mahdi Jafari-Sadeghi, whose leadership was instrumental in orchestrating the conference's success. The program included a robust and diverse lineup of speakers and sessions. Among the plenary speakers were internationally renowned experts such as Prof. Shane Xie from the University of Leeds, UK, Prof. Bharat Jasani of Cardiff University, UK, Prof. Bhaskar Choubey from the University of Siegen, Germany, and Prof. Roland Goecke of Australian National University, Australia. These experts delivered plenary sessions that explored cutting-edge developments and future trends in AI and robotics.

In addition to the plenary sessions, AIR 2025 featured seven keynote speakers, including distinguished professionals from institutions and industry leaders such as Southern University and A&M College, National Life Group, Cisco Systems, Amazon, and Marriott International. The conference also hosted 39 invited speakers, enhancing the depth and diversity of the event with perspectives from both academia and industry. There were six industry-invited speaker sessions, providing participants with valuable insights into practical applications and emerging challenges in the AI and robotics sectors.

The technical program was structured into 15 parallel sessions, divided across key thematic tracks including Computer Vision, AI and Machine Learning, Emerging Techniques, and Robotics. This arrangement allowed participants to engage deeply in specialized topics and foster collaborations across different research areas. The rigorous peer review process was supported by a remarkable number of 1,138 reviewers, who ensured the quality and relevance of the accepted papers.

A major highlight of AIR 2025 was the publication of all accepted papers in the SCOPUS-indexed Springer book series, Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems, which guarantees broad dissemination and recognition of the research presented. The conference not only provided a platform for sharing scientific knowledge but also encouraged international networking and cooperation among researchers, practitioners, and industry experts.

Overall, the International Conference on AI and Robotics (AIR 2025) stood out as a premier event fostering innovation and collaboration in AI and robotics. The contributions of the organizers, speakers, reviewers, and participants were vital in making this event a resounding success.
