The 5th International Conference on Computer Vision and Robotics (CVR 2025), organized by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa and technically sponsored by the Soft Computing Research Society (SCRS), concluded successfully on April 26, 2025. Held over two dynamic days, the conference brought together a diverse group of researchers, academicians, and industry experts from across the globe, creating a vibrant platform for innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. This year, CVR 2025 achieved record-breaking participation with a total of 1,146 papers submitted from 12 countries including Bangladesh, Canada, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and the USA. After a highly competitive review process involving 855 expert reviewers, 201 papers were accepted and registered, marking an impressive acceptance rate of just 18%. These selected papers will be published in the prestigious SCOPUS-indexed Springer Book Series, Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems, thereby giving global visibility to the conference's research contributions.

The success of CVR 2025 was made possible under the able leadership of the General Chairs, namely Dr. Chirag N. Modi from the National Institute of Technology Goa, Prof. Andries Engelbrecht from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, Dr. Harish Sharma from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, Rajasthan, India, and Dr. Abhishek Bhatt from Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior. Their guidance and commitment ensured the smooth execution of a high-quality and globally respected conference.

The technical program of CVR 2025 was rich and diverse, featuring 33 parallel sessions across four major tracks: Computer Vision, Data Analytics, Emerging Techniques, and Robotics. The event was further elevated by thought-provoking keynote speeches and industry sessions. The keynote addresses were delivered by leading experts: Dr. Satyasai Jagannath Nanda from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, Dr. Malaya Kumar Nath, Assistant Professor at NIT Puducherry, and Mr. Ruthvik Uppaluri, Manager of FP&A Systems and a Senior IEEE Member. Their sessions offered deep insights into cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics, and their practical applications across industries. In addition to the keynote, two industry-invited speaker sessions added critical perspectives from the corporate sector, effectively bridging academic research with real-world industrial innovation.

In recognition of outstanding contributions, CVR 2025 presented two major awards. The prestigious Innovation in AI for Industry Award was conferred upon Tanmoy Biswas, Solution Director - Insight to Launch at ADM, for his exemplary work in business transformation and ERP implementation, notably through SAP S/4 HANA technologies. His achievement underscored the growing impact of AI-driven solutions in modern industries. Additionally, the SCRS Best Paper Awards (Track Wise) were awarded to several researchers for their exceptional papers. Among the notable winners was Ajay Sundar Karuppasamy, Senior Software Engineer at Google, who received accolades for his significant contribution to his research track.

The organizers of CVR 2025 expressed deep gratitude to all participants, keynote and invited speakers, reviewers, and sponsors for making the conference a grand success. They emphasized that the spirit of innovation and collaboration witnessed during the conference truly reflected the vision of CVR. With its successful completion, CVR 2025 once again reinforced its reputation as a premier international platform fostering interdisciplinary research and technological innovation in computer vision, robotics, and emerging technologies. Participants and researchers were encouraged to stay engaged with NIT Goa and the Soft Computing Research Society for future events and collaborations.
