The Soft Computing Research Society (SCRS) USA Center at
Florida International University (FIU) is set to host Ideathon 2025, a dynamic
innovation challenge scheduled for March 28-29, 2025. This event aims to unite
creative minds, technologists, and problem-solvers to address global challenges
through groundbreaking ideas.
Event Overview
Ideathon 2025 offers participants a platform to ideate,
prototype, and present transformative solutions across various themes,
including AI-driven social impact, sustainable urban living, fintech
innovations, healthcare advancements, cybersecurity, climate technology, Web3,
and the metaverse.
Eligibility and Team Formation
The event is open to B.Tech students from all years and
disciplines, M.Tech students in engineering, technology, or related fields, and
Ph.D. scholars engaged in advanced technical and scientific research.
Participants can register individually or in teams of 2-5 members, with
interdisciplinary collaborations encouraged. Each team must designate a leader
responsible for registration and communication.
Submission Guidelines
Teams are required to submit a 5-slide PowerPoint
presentation outlining their idea. If a working prototype exists, a video link
should be provided during registration. The presentation should cover team and
institution details, problem statement, proposed solution, feasibility and
impact, and implementation with future scope.
Awards and Recognition
A total cash prize pool of $1,200 is up for grabs, along
with Certificates of Recognition for winners. All participating teams will
receive Certificates of Appreciation. Grand prizes include titles such as
Ideathon 2025 Champion, 1st Runner-Up, and 2nd Runner-Up. Thematic awards will
also be presented in categories like AI for Good, Smart Cities &
Sustainable Living, FinTech Innovation, HealthTech & Well-being,
Cybersecurity & Digital Trust, Climate Tech & Renewable Energy, Web3
& Metaverse, Empowering Humanity, Industry Disruptor, and Think, Build,
Transform.
