Successful Completion of the 4th International Conference on Computer Vision and Robotics (CVR 2024)

The 4th International Conference on Computer Vision and Robotics (CVR 2024) concluded on May 25-26, 2024, marking a major milestone in the field of computer vision and robotics. The event, hosted by Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU), Pune, received an impressive 615 paper submissions from across the globe, with only 45 papers being accepted, resulting in a competitive acceptance rate of just 8%. These papers came from various countries, including Hong Kong, India, Serbia, USA, among others, showcasing the international appeal of the conference.

The conference was organized under the Springer Book Series, 'Algorithms for Intelligent Systems', which will publish the proceedings of the event. With 10 parallel sessions, attendees explored key topics across four main tracks: Computer Vision, Robotics, Emerging Techniques, and Data Analytics. The event also featured prominent keynote addresses by Prof. Andries Engelbrecht, from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, and Daniel Ma, Vice President of RD&E Science. Their presentations provided invaluable insights into the cutting-edge developments in the fields of vision and robotics.

In addition, the conference was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals who contributed to its success. Dr. K. Rajeswara Rao, former Special Secretary at NITI Aayog, Government of India, served as the Honorary Chair. The Chief Patron of the event, Padma Bhushan and Padmashri Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Honorable Chancellor of SSPU, Pune, provided unwavering support. Dr. Gauri Shirurkar, the Patron and Honorable Vice Chancellor of SSPU, alongside Dr. Swati Majumdar, Honorable Pro Chancellor, and Dr. Sudhakar Shinde, Registrar of SSPU, were instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of the event.

The conference also recognized the contributions of Abhishek Bhatt (General Chair, SSPU), Himanshu Mittal (General Chair, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, India), and Praveen K. Shukla (General Chair, CSE, BBD University, Lucknow, India), whose leadership and efforts were central to the organization of this prestigious event.

The 4th CVR conference not only provided a platform for the exchange of knowledge but also strengthened global collaboration in the areas of computer vision and robotics, setting the stage for future advancements in these rapidly evolving fields.
