The 2nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence: Theory and Applications (AITA 2024), held August 9-10, 2024, marked a significant milestone in AI research collaboration, bringing together experts and researchers from 13 countries across multiple continents. The conference demonstrated exceptional selectivity with a competitive 15% acceptance rate, maintaining high academic standards in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.
From a substantial pool of 793 submitted papers, only 112 papers were accepted and registered for presentation, following thorough evaluation by a distinguished panel of 561 reviewers. This rigorous selection process ensures that only cutting-edge research meeting the highest academic standards reached the conference floor.
The conference featured an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, including Prof. Narayan C. Debnath from Eastern International University, Vietnam, and industry leaders such as Dr. Madan Mohan Tito Ayyalasomayajula, Senior Technology Architect at Infosys, Texas. The involvement of Mr. Dalbir Dahiya, Senior Director of Research and Development at Anthology Inc., and Dr. Nikhil Koolwal, Advisory Technical Specialist from IBM, brought valuable industry perspectives to the academic discourse.
AITA 2024's comprehensive program spanned five crucial tracks: Intelligent Systems, Image Processing and Machine Vision, Data Analytics and Computing, Robotics, and Internet of Things (IoT) and Control System. The conference organized 20 parallel sessions to accommodate the breadth of research presentations, facilitating in-depth discussions and networking opportunities among participants.
The global reach of the conference was evident in its diverse participation, drawing researchers from countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Chad, Fiji, India, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine, United States, and Vietnam. This international representation fostered cross-cultural exchange of ideas and potential collaborations across borders.
All accepted papers were published in the prestigious Scopus-indexed Springer Book Series "Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems," ensuring wide dissemination and visibility of the research findings within the academic community.
The success of AITA 2024 not only highlights the growing importance of artificial intelligence research but also demonstrates the value of international collaboration in advancing the field. As AI continues to shape our future, conferences like AITA play a crucial role in bringing together diverse perspectives and fostering innovation in both theoretical foundations and practical applications.
