IIT Patna Hosts International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Sustainable Technologies (ICST 2026)

The International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Sustainable Technologies (ICST 2026) was successfully held on August 01-02, 2026, at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna. Serving as a premier global forum, the event united leading academics, tech leaders, and innovators to share breakthrough research and shape the future of Computational Intelligence and allied domains. The conference proceedings will be published in the SCOPUS-indexed Springer book series, Studies in Autonomic, Data-driven and Industrial Computing (SADIS).

ICST 2026 received an overwhelming response from the global research community, attracting 1,149 research paper submissions from 11 countries: Algeria, India, Iraq, Morocco, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, United Kingdom, United States, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. Following a rigorous peer-review process conducted by 681 reviewers, 124 high-quality papers were accepted and registered, resulting in an impressive acceptance rate of 11%. The technical programme consisted of 24 specialised tracks on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Data Analytics, Intelligent Systems, Natural Language Processing, Sustainable Computing, Green Infrastructure and several interdisciplinary research domains.

Following the inaugural ceremony, Prof. Tapan Kumar Gandhi delivered an opening plenary address. Post-luncheon, technical sessions commenced via a hybrid format, incorporating both virtual and in-person presentations featuring two subsequent plenary lectures presented by Prof. Ram Bilas Pachori of IIT Indore and Prof. R. Balasubramanian of IIT Roorkee.

The conference was uniquely distinguished by the exceptional series of Keynote addresses delivered by globally recognised academics and prominent organisational leaders. The keynote speakers included Abhinav Taduka (Operations Technology iCreditWorks), Sachin Singh (EchoStar Corporations), Harender Bisht (Crum & Forster), Renjith Ramachandran (Senior Solutions Architect), Sasibhushan Rao Chanthati (HireKeyz Inc., USA), Harish Janardhanan (Fareportal Inc., New York, USA), Yugandhar Karuturi (SAP America), Santosh Kumar Vangapelli (Coupang), Sai Jagadish Bodapati (Vehicle Systems Engineer), Harshavardhan Peddireddy (Meijer), Ajith Suresh (Amazon), Mohammed Muqthar Ghori (Intellectt Inc.), Nazir Mohammed (Client - Honda AHM), Jagan Ankam (CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc.), Sreepal Reddy Bolla (Teradyne Infotech, Inc.), Naga Satya Praveen Kumar Yadati (Meta), Lakshmi Harika Akkireddy (Senior Software Engineer), Vivek Kumar Polurouthu (PBF Energy), and Prof. Quazi Taif Sadat (Director, Bangladesh University).

Furthermore, a prominent array of invited speakers from world-class academic institutions and corporate bodies contributed to the conference program. The invited talks were delivered by Sanatya Singh (Munich Reinsurance), Rahul Bhatia (HCLTech), Manish Uniyal (EchoStar), Abhradeep Chatterjee (Associate Director, NTT DATA, United States), SudhaKavya Bodapati Venkata (Starkey Hearing Technologies Inc), and Vimal Teja Manne (Verifone Inc). The resulting panels provided expert industry viewpoints across critical domains, including enterprise AI, DevOps, cloud technologies, software engineering, cybersecurity, and digital modernization.

The technical sessions were expertly arbitrated by an illustrious panel composed of Somanath Pradhan, Subodh Srivastava, Rahul Misra, Jagannath Malik, Sushmita, Bhaskar Mondal, Shivangi, Chandan Kumar Jha, Hari Krishna Bethanaboina, Uttama Reddy Sanepalli, Nithesh Gudipuri, Poli Reddy Basani, Anil Mandloi, SudhaKavya Bodapati Venkata, Vimal Teja Manne, Kuljeet Kaur, Akshay Ramachandran, Rohit Alekar, Utpal Kumar Das.

The conference also recognized outstanding professionals for their contributions to technology and innovation. Pruthvi Raj Seknametla (Senior DevOps Engineer, NIH), Kuladeep Sandra (Senior Manager, Dell Inc), Jeevan Krishna Paruchuri (Senior Software Engineer), and Naga Hemanth Badabagni (Resident Solution Architect, Databricks) received awards for their outstanding contributions in emerging technologies and engineering leadership.

Through a combination of keynote lectures, invited talks, and robust paper presentations, the event effectively stimulated productive academic exchange, collaborative research, and the exploration of cutting-edge technologies. With its highly selective review process, strong international participation, distinguished speakers, publication in the prestigious Springer SADIS series, and active engagement from academia and industry, ICST 2026 concluded successfully, further strengthening its reputation as a leading international forum for advancing research, innovation, and global collaboration in Intelligent Computing and sustainable technologies.
