The 6th International Conference on Computer Vision and Robotics (CVR 2026) was successfully organized in hybrid mode by the National Institute of Technology Goa on April 24 and 25, 2026. Technically sponsored by the Soft Computing Research Society, the conference emerged as a significant international platform for researchers, academicians, industry experts, and scholars working in the fields of computer vision, robotics, data analytics, and emerging technologies. CVR 2026 witnessed an overwhelming global response with 1853 research papers submitted from nine countries including Ghana, Greece, India, Nigeria, Peru, Serbia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Out of the total submissions, 201 papers were accepted and registered after a rigorous review process conducted by 621 reviewers, resulting in a highly competitive acceptance rate of 11 percent.
The conference featured 36 specialized tracks covering broad domains such as Computer Vision, Data Analytic, Emerging Techniques, and Robotics. The event highlighted the growing importance of interdisciplinary research and innovation in intelligent systems and advanced computational technologies. The proceedings of CVR 2026 will be published in the SCOPUS indexed Springer Book Series “Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems,” which is indexed in prominent databases including SCOPUS, DBLP, INSPEC, Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals and Series, SCImago, WTI Frankfurt eG, and zbMATH. This publication opportunity further enhanced the global academic visibility and impact of the conference.
The conference was organized under the patronage of Omprakash R. Jaiswal from the National Institute of Technology Goa. The General Chairs included Abhishek Bhatt from Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Andries Engelbrecht from Stellenbosch University, Harish Sharma from Rajasthan Technical University Kota, and Chirag N. Modi from National Institute of Technology Goa. Their collective leadership and vision played a vital role in making the conference a globally recognized academic event.
The plenary session was delivered by K Chandrasekaran from National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal, who shared valuable insights into emerging research directions in computer science and engineering. The conference also featured keynote addresses by Prithvi Raj Veluchamy, Staff Software Engineer and Independent Researcher from Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Nareshkumar Soundarajan, Independent Researcher, and Sivakumar Dhanasekar, Independent Researcher. Their sessions focused on current technological trends, innovation ecosystems, and future research opportunities in intelligent systems and automation.
Industry interaction remained one of the major highlights of CVR 2026. The invited industry speakers included Hemang Shah, Senior Software Engineer at Zoom Communications, and Amol Lele, Senior Principal Cloud Developer at Hewlett Packard Enterprises. Their talks provided participants with valuable industry perspectives on cloud technologies, software engineering practices, and real world applications of artificial intelligence and robotics. CVR 2026 successfully promoted international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and academic networking among researchers and professionals from across the world. The conference reaffirmed its position as a premier global forum for discussing innovative research contributions and emerging advancements in computer vision, robotics, and intelligent computing technologies.
