Soft-Computing Research Society (SCRS) is pleased to invite students, academicians, researchers, and professionals to an exclusive Live Online Panel Discussion with Industry Experts on the theme “Ethical Challenges in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”. With Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapidly transforming modern software systems and reshaping how decisions are made across industries, the need for ethical, transparent, and responsible AI has become more critical than ever.
AI technologies are now widely used in domains such as healthcare, education, finance, governance, recruitment, cybersecurity, and social media platforms. While these innovations offer efficiency, automation, and improved service delivery, they also raise serious concerns related to fairness, privacy, accountability, transparency, and long-term societal impact. Recognizing these challenges, SCRS aims to create a platform for informed discussion to strengthen awareness and encourage responsible AI adoption.
The panel discussion will explore real-world ethical concerns in AI, including accountability in AI-driven decisions, bias and discrimination in algorithms, privacy risks due to data-intensive models, transparency and explainability of AI systems, and responsible AI deployment practices. The session will be led by experienced industry experts who will share practical insights, real use cases, and strategies that organizations can adopt to ensure AI solutions are trustworthy, inclusive, and aligned with ethical standards.
The Online Panel Discussion will be held on Friday, 20 February 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (IST / GMT+5:30). The event will be conducted in online mode, enabling participation from a wide range of locations.
The session is open to students, faculty members, researchers, software professionals, and AI enthusiasts who wish to deepen their understanding of ethical AI and the responsibilities associated with AI system design and deployment. To ensure focused interaction and high-quality engagement, SCRS has announced limited availability, with only 10 positions available. Participation will be confirmed strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
